Improved Zazengo Navigation

Posted by Cameron Booth on May 19, 2008 – 2:20 pm

I’m happy to announce that we went live with a new site release last night. The biggest new feature is much simpler navigation. For a while, we’ve known our navigation has needed some work, and we’ve put our heads together to improve things.

The headline?

Our top level navigation has changed — we think for the better.

You is now the area with everything about you in it. For starters, it’s your dashboard, where you can get a birds eye view of what’s going on in your Zazengo world. When you want to branch out and start to make an impact, the Create tab is where you can create an impact, or start a project to inspire others to create an impact themselves. Finally, we’ve got lots of good stuff on the site, and you’ll find it under the Explore tab. That’s where you’ll find other projects going on, organizations on the site, and even other users who can help you in your own projects.

This is only the beginning of where we’re going with our navigation, and functionality, but we thought it was important enough to get out there for you to use now.

That’s not the only thing we did with this release though. We think we’ve significantly improved the registration experience for people who are new to Zazengo. Our Learn More page is now much more explanatory, as is our new home page.

As always, your feedback is very important, please keep it coming!
