Zazengo Features

Version 1.0 of Zazengo focuses on tools for self-organizing and basic impact tracking.

When you create a project you have at your fingertips, events, discussions, action items, stories, teammates and an invite and messaging system.

  • You can create events and invite people to attend and see who’s confirmed.
  • With the action items feature you can assign an action to anyone on the team and set the priority and track what’s getting done.
  • You can also create discussions and add stories with embedded videos or pictures for tracking the anecdotal impact of your actions.
  • Anyone who starts a project can identify what impact they want to track. You can add any metric you want. We’ve got a few impacts identified and our goal is to have the community identify what it is you want to track versus define the fields ourselves.

When you edit your profile you can identify what you are good at and what you care about (edit profile: skills, interests) and then we suggest projects to you on your personal start page.

Through search you can find people, projects and organizations in your community by interests or skills.

As an organization you can track the collective impact of all your members. We have created basic reporting tools and administrative features for you to set permissions, brand your organization and create customized widgets and landing pages that best represent your mission and goals.

We have some exciting additions coming in version 2.0 in June. A more robust recommendation engine, a deeper impact tracking and reporting system and a visualization engine that will give each user the opportunity to visually represent their impact.

We have a lot of ideas brewing and new features coming and we really want your input. What’s missing? What features would be useful for you. We welcome your feedback and are committed to co-creating Zazengo with you.
